I imagine this is the place to ask how to set up a website such that there is a members area where people have to pay to view the content.  Does anyone want to discuss this?

Hi Complete!
can you give more details of what kind of help you need? so we could be more helpful in replies.
But from the info I have now can suggest this:
I would take any forum script could be SMF(using by our community), make all registrations to be activated by admin(s), make some or all boards visible for members only. Later I would simply setup account with 2CheckOut and set recurring product if people need to pay annual or monthly fee. Later you or your admins would simply check if payment was recieved and add member to forum so he can view content he paid for.
for me this looks like a most easy way to organize such site, hope it helps.

Do we know what the "premium" content is and the benefits?

Hi SensoVision,
I was interested in the content of the proposed site and what will drive visitors to pay.

Seems like they translate website content to other languages as gleaned from the email domain of the poster. So it's an ecommerce venture rather than a place to access content of a forum that you would pay for.

p.s. I started a dating site before and tried again with a subscription-based forum. The first time, only men registered, the second time I tried for pre-registration and nobody wants to register. So these sites seem to be impossible to get started unless you con people with fake members or start a free version.
