How can I ?

A domain name I am watching is about to expire, is there a way I can hold it, reserve it or something? It may not expire, the old owner re-registered it just in the nic af time last year!! If it does expire, it wont be expired long, I am sure!!  Any Ideas, tips would be great !!

In my experience, the domain registrars keep emailing you to renew it even when you don't want it any more. They do this several times, even though I ignore them. They seem quite desperate to get me to renew.

Maybe, one tactic is to email the registrars that you are prepared to register this domain name as soon as it expires since it fits your domain criterea and can save them time and expense on pestering the current owner who doesn't seem to be interested. Promise them prompt payment on the day the domain expires as long as they stop continually emailing the present owner. This may be particularly effective if you can demonstrate that they never used the domain name and it is better for this company to service real sites rather than be a service to cybersquatters. I think they would go for this since they are more likely to benefit from your business.

CoastPC from what I know you can backorder this domain as some regisars offer you some feature which help you to grub domain if it will not be renwed. check it out with http://www.godaddy.com  or your registar since it also can contain this feature.

You might try to put a bid in at these two places for the name which is near expiry.  They are in the business of "catching" expired names for their customers.  Goodluck & keep us posted if your snap is successful!
