I am planning to buy a new HD camcorder so to put this to good use I plan to film myself training and fighting with Sholin Monks.

If you are an oldish guy like me, you will remember this martial art from Kung foo.

So I have identified their dojo and plan to challenge them at some stage to create a movie.

What do you think? Am I an idiot or  warrior?

I have been running a lot and doing push-ups and I have identified the Sholin Temple. So now it is time to lay down the challenge. But I want to record it on video.

I need some justification to buy this gadget so I will buy it and start the documentary to show you the secret dojo and hopefully lead up to me fighting a master of the martial arts in a non-lethal confrontation.

Andy 1st you are absolutely nuts. Grin. With that said could you post you full name and particulars for me to use to take out life insurance on you it could make me rich. On second thought would challenging Sholin Monks be considered suicide? David Carradine made it seem so. Wink

Don't be silly.

Suicide at least requires some thought process.

Challenging Shaolin Monks? No thought processes involved.

I don't know why but when you find a Sholin Monk or their hang out, you just feel compelled to fight them, as crazy as it seems. What provoked me was the blatant advisement of their fighting interest outside of the temple. I will have to go and grab a photo to show here.

I will have to go through a period of training up in the mountains in isolation before I descend and challenge them though. Conditioning of the shins by kicking trees and punching fists into the soil etc.

Then I will maybe wander into the temple wearing cloths that resemble a lost tourist and suggest that I would like to try sparring with one of the monks. Set up the camera and then unleash the warrior within.

HD camcorder will always pay IMO. Even if you decide not to record your fighting practice with it.

Now I have a 40" Widescreen HDTV, YouTube prefers HD footage and I like filming stuff, it is an essential item for me.

Can't wait to record my skiing in winter. One reason I insisted on a small size video cam so I can protect it from damage and maybe mount on a head band.
