Hey hey,

just to make you guys jealous I plan to buy a compact High Definition camcorder. This is tiny, has no moving parts and films about 8 hours of HD video to the built-in flash memory. Also you can insert another 32GB of SD memory into it. It is also resistant to climate problems such as sand and moisture and has image stabilization.

It is fairly cheaply priced too. But I will buy it in Japan since I don't see it available elsewhere.

Here is the translated sales page:

So I hope to use it on the ski slopes this winter. Watch out for my YouTube HD videos!

I've been looking at those also just waiting to get the money and decide on which one I want. It would be great to use while riding my bike.

Jealous he he  Grin

Already own a CANON SX10

(Its gifted though  Grin )

As for camcorder, I have used my friend's Canon Vixia HF S100. Its simply great. Compact and powerful.

For photography, I swear by Canon's products. I also owned Canon's SX200. It was trendy, compact and simply worked great as well.

Manu - your camera looks awesome but it is hardly a miniature HD Video Cam  Grin

I bought the Panasonic HDC-TM30 and it seems ideal for my needs. It's small, light weight, battery lasts about 2 hours, the internal memory stores about 8 hours of video, and it has image stabilization.

Now I want to buy an external 1TB HDD to download the video files to.

The Canon Vixia HF S100 is substantially larger and heavier than the Panasonic.

I have recorded a few hours of HD video so now I want to create a condensed video of my footage. In particular it will be featuring my weight loss run up in the hills.
