Currently, I am hosting 45 blogs under 2 different domains.. I am doing this to save cost.. My blogs are just for linkbuilding and promotional and not expecting large traffic.. Do you think it is okay?

If the blogs offer useful content, and don't have a common footprint as if they are generated, it should be OK. I would expect only individual blogs to be penalized if they are tagged as splogs. For example, sites like blogger.com have many spam blogs that don't effect the good ones.

It really depends on what kind of link building activities you are doing on/with them.

I would be more concerned about your hosting and the resources your blogs are using. If you are paying for shared hosting, you might consider putting some blogs on free hosting such as Zymic offers. If it's for linkbuilding purposes, spreading them out across a few other domains will give you more valuable inbound links rather than putting them on the same domain or two.

Just don't link them to to each other and your blogs will be fine.

I would of thought this would of resulted in a very slow site, hosting all those databases under 1 account. If you don't experience slowness, you should be good though. Be aware of security though, if one blog got hacked into it, someone might gain access to your control panel and delete everything.

if you are creating the same links for all the blogs for time saving and for your ease it could be worse cause the same IP may cause to spam.

I have more than 10 blogs under one account. I think most important is the quality of your contents

It is ok.
Why not use the free platforms from blogger, wordpress.com, etc?
