Hi,
I am a laid off Carpenter, trying to make a dollar on the internet. I am slowly getting to understand the basics of html and xhtml. W3Schools are a great help. I am presently building and learning to host websites. This Forum and others like it, are full of valuable information to me, and for that I thank you again for having me as a member.   Best of Luck ! DuplicateCopy

Sneaky...putting the links in the biography.

Good choice of a name for a traffic exchange though.

I need a new computer table. But this time I'm thinking of making it myself. Can you be of any help? Any tips?

Here's what I recommend:

In your garden (or local woodland/forest), dig out a level rectangle in the soil to a depth of 3 inches and place wooden planks around the edges and plywood on the bottom. Now line the surface with black vinyl sheeting.

Then fill the area with concrete, you can probably get it delivered or mix it yourself. Level it off smoothly with a beam of wood.

Then, as soon as possible before the concrete sets:

Get hold of 4 x 6 inch square timber beams that will serve as the desk legs.

Hammer large nails into the beams at a position of half of the depth of the concrete on all 4 sides at one end of each beam.

Now carefully mount these desk leg beams near the corners of the concrete rectangle. Push them into the concrete mix so the nails are just below the surface.

Using a spirit level, align the legs so that they are vertical and try to get all the beams at the same level. Check regularly as the concrete sets.

After a day or so once the concrete is fully set, you can pull up your new computer desk from the ground.

Wrap the excess vinyl under the desk edges and tape them down and trim the edge with a utility knife.

Voila! a brand new computer desk that will last for years to come!

Manu, your reply disappoints me (because it seems like I wasted time) and also makes no sense at all to me. What is CRI?

ha ha, my keyboard is a microsoft one and is plastered with warning labels. Microsoft should warn us that we might waste hours of our life reading their warnings and license agreements before purchasing their products.

I say, take a chance and use that keyboard or mouse without reading any of the warnings and manuals. Just click the "I accept buttons" and take your chances.
