Anyone setup an html page to pdf conversion (php and mysql)? Issues or problems encountered?

Hmm, this sounds like an interesting challenge. I haven't done it myself but would imagine that the challenge would be to accurately convert the appearance of the web page into PDF such as getting the padding and margins the same around web page elements. Even so, it would be a big coding challenge I think to create a script that does it on the fly for any web page.

What I would look at doing for static pages is to write some c# code with MS C# Express to automate the process of downloading a web page, converting it to PDF using Open Office and uploading the PDF to the web using FileZilla. Probably using OLE automation. Trying to code it all in PHP seems too hard/expensive to me unless somebody has made available an existing solution. Just thinking out loud, there may be much simpler solutions, I don't know. Or maybe create a procedure that is given to a contractor to manually do the conversions?
