I found out about ATF Cleaner when my computer recently became infected with a self-replicating, name-changing virus (the "Vundo" trojan.) Some of the files kept replicating inside my browser's temporary folder, even after I went through and emptied it repeatedly. I suspect this was because the parent file went and hid in the shadows everytime I tried to clean up the mess.

I consider ATF cleaner a lifesaver, because only after it completely emptied my temporary file cache (over 2 GB's worth!) were MalwareBytes and SuperAntiSpyware able to fully eliminate the problem.

I never did find out what site gave me the virus. I had the Reader's Digest website open and was doing some business-related searches at the time the virus reared its ugly head. Avast did not stop it initially, as somehow it managed to mask itself as a standard Windows background service.

At any rate, it's a great little program. I'm thankful to the programmer for this one. I should probably send him an e-mail.
