Over the past several months I have been letting a few domains drop, or even giving a way a few.

Though I recently registered a few, it has been the first time in a while since I have registered domains.

After putting the TrafficStop site on my portal as a sub-domain, it occurred to me, as I was looking through some of my old files, that there are some domains I have with basic sites on them that...well..aren't doing anything other than sitting there. I'm not promoting them or adding to them.

My thought was to just take those such sites and add them to my portal as sub-domains instead; hence, cut down on domains I'm not really using anyway while still making use of the content on them.

I am hoping for a reciprocating effect from this; that the sites will benefit from the strength of the portal, and that the portal will benefit from the content added to it from the sites.

Two domains that will be dropped are lesbianlockup.com and mensbookshelf.com

I don't have much interest in continuing with the men's bookshelf site. Being that I have already worked on it, I can add it to 5g8.

If you do a search on Google for wip flicks, two of my sites are in the top 5 returns, and one is number 1; I don't see much need in competing with myself.

The men's bookshelf will keep its name, but the lesbianlockup site will be changed to lesbian prison (and let's see if that makes it through the filters...it didn't Roll Eyes).

For the time being, if I have a site idea, other than the sub-domain promotion strategy, unless it is something thatstands out or is a really good domain name, I'm just going to add it as a sub-domain to my portal rather than incurring the expense of additional domains.

Stupid idea?

This decision is mainly up to you but if you have no serious plans for these sites, then I don't think it would be a big deal putting them on a sub domain.  Just keep in mind though that a registered domain name will almost always hold more weight over a sub domain.  Not to mention many customers would rather do business with a registered domain than a sub domain also.  If the sites on the sub domain will be mainly for just your reference and for those who visit your site, it should not be a big deal.  Domain registrations are not that badly priced however.  If you feel the site is worth an investment of around $8-10 a year then maybe you should keep the domain.

With still 80+ domains, it is quite expensive to maintain them. The two domains I have mentioned dropping are not doing anything, or I wouldn't drop them.

My one adult site producing anything is the redroom (I'd post the domain name, but it would be hacked to death by the filters).

I'll be moving the redroom to the same hosting as 5g8 as I have dumped the hosting service upon which it had previously resided. I'll also put the adult autohits on 5g8 as well, to keep my adult sites together and keep a little too backward of hosting admins from complaining as 3ix has no problem with any legal adult sites.

Dang...there goes my memory; I'm wondering if I have any other adult sites. I think the redroom and adult autohits are it. I have wipflicks.net, but am not using it.

Oops...forgot...I have the schoolgirls site too.
