A remarkable material called graphene could soon be used to make flexible and transparent high-speed electronics, researchers say.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/7827148.stm

Called graphene, it is a two-dimensional, giant, flat molecule which is still only the thickness of an atom.
The nanofabric's remarkable electronic properties mean that an ultra-fast and stable transistor could be made.
 Cool

Can you imagine how the computers of the future could end up using something like graphene ?

Interesting. The hard part may be to create circuits using the transistors.

It's got its own website - http://grapheneindustries.com/
 Wink
It looks like good stuff to me and i'm sure they will find a good use for it. Something like ultra thin / small hand held computers.

It doesn't make sense what you said in respect of your opinion about graphene

I really hope they will soon find a good use out of graphene. it's very interesting to read some facts about it, especially the characteristics of this substance! really amazing. Graphene is the thinnest, strongest material known to man that conducts electricity and heat better than any substance. For discovering graphene, a pair of Russian physicists have achieved fame and fortune. They get to divide the $1.4 million check that comes with the 2010 Nobel Prize in Physics. Experiments are being conducted by scientists all over the world to determine practical graphene applications that consist of replacing silicon in computer chips, ultra-definition screens and new components as yet unknown.
