How in the world???

How in the world did my dinky little web portal, http://aeratee.com, get a PR3?

I haven't done any recent promotion.

Somebody is playing a joke on me.

I tried that earlier. Got 37 backlinks total. I think two directories (on non-ranked pages), one directory which is now a domain parking page, and the rest are just links on forums and mainly webmaster forums. I'm not seeing anything that would justify such a rank, and even Google doesn't return anything to suggest such, or return any backlink results on a backlink checker.

I'm wondering if this is a glitch that will be returned to normal when they figure it out, or on the next pagerank update?

Maybe it got manually reviewed to get PR3? Since your site seems to be the only one covering your keyword it will be an authority site for the word.

manual pr review? lol! I guess not.

This pr update seemed a joke to me. I guess a real pagerank update will follow within next 30 days.

Menard's site got PR3 because a big G engineer liked the DVDs I suspect  Grin - definitely a manual review bonus of +3 awarded.

Its a scam!  lol  I wouldn't mind having a PR of 3 with no effory.  maybe your site is so valuable that others began linking to it without your knowledge.  Good link baiting

Well, I did check the backlinks, and they they just are not there.

Maybe people just like the word. I made it up...I swear; I spent some time just making up some words...for some reason came up with aeratee, and decided to use it.

I have it on a topsite with another portal of mine. The other portal has been on the list for several days as I voted it in. Aeratee got listed today as a guest must have voted it in. Aeratee has had more hits out in one day than the other portal has in one week, and the other portal is higher on the list.

Maybe aeratee is a non-threatening friendly sounding word?

I just checked your site and its PR is now 0, so maybe it was an error. How often does Google change the PR of a site? I was thinking it was 1-3 months. I have a blog site that I built last fall and wrote about 8 posts and did a little bit of SEO and it's at PR2 now. I need to spend more time writing new content and doing some SEO work to get the PR to climb.

You are picking on old posts so the site in question may not be live anymore.

How can the PR drop from PR3 to PR0 in such a short span of time?
