New Year Ideas

Some things I am thinking to do more of in the new year:

* tidy up my sites so they look good with nice templates - I already did this during 2008 to a few sites
* make a wall poster mapping out all my sites so it is in my face and I can put post-it notes on it to remind me what I need to do and can visualize it all better
* build more external links to the sites
* not neglect sites - regularly add something new to each site in the network
* create more viral aspects such as getting people to tell a friend about a site
* get the sites more profitable via new related offers
* try and create a new community site that is self-sustaining and grows virally
* maybe write a lightweight site generator script as an alternative to using WordPress
* do more with Adobe Flex to create some Rich Internet Applications
* mine data more and re-purpose it such as financial data
* develop partnerships with others to work on collaborative web projects
* new blog idea (already in motion)
* kill off dead blogs in a nice way where the content is still used
* get better at tracking progress and planning ahead
* following industry trends better
* getting more systematic about how I build sites and do any business activity
* creating more products and use PPC to generate traffic to the sales pages
* outsource work and find good people to perform tasks

Well that's just to do with internet marketing

You've got a good list there. My plans are:

*Continue looking for work outside the home... whether it be working in a design firm or a department store.
*Get out of the house more. (See above.)
*Build an online portfolio specifically related to my web and graphic design.
*Attempt to gain more clients in the Tampa Bay/Wesley Chapel area.
*Learn more about Adobe Illustrator.
*Study Chemistry and Physics. I would like to learn more on my own.
*Try to read a chapter a day, at least five times a week. I hope to finish at least 10 books this year.
*Continue exercising and staying healthy.
*Maintain healthy relationships with friends and family.
*Build new and more reliable friendships with good-hearted, positive people.
