I had been doing a search on Google for my article Women in Prison Cinema (after discovering that a search for 'wip flicks' results in the CargoShip being in 4th place for those keywords, sans any quotes or hyphens).

You know...sometimes the content and theme just...really do not go together.

Found my article on a website. Fully intact with the copyright information...and backlink. Shocked (being that I have found the article on several websites with at least my name attached, but either missing the copyright information, and most commonly a backlink)

This, though, just really doesn't fit: http://www.findseniorhomes.com/article/Women-in-Prison-Cinema/

Maybe I'm missing it; does anybody see any kind of connection?

BTW, my article is now linked from Wikipedia. Yes, I was the one who added the link, but it was appropriate as it is just as good of a resource about the sub-genre as anything else they have on that page, or external links on it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Women_in_prison_films

The seniors site is using the services of an SEO company I guess so they use your article but link back with a rel=nofollow link as do Wikipedia. I would not be happy with a site reproducing my article and not following the link but with Wikipedia I think any link is a good link. Just some thoughts.

There doesn't seem to be an obvious connection with the seniors site and the article but if they rank higher than you for the article search terms then they may get a benefit out of it. If they got it published on the web first by say a scraping robot then they might rank higher so they get all the benefits of your hard work for free.

Thank you for pointing that out as I was too tied up in the humor of it to check for that. I have sent an email to the admin of the site requesting that they either correct the link or remove the article.

I knew the Wikipedia was nofollow; I've just been wanting a reason to get a link on there (without spamming a link), and it presented itself quite by accident.
