Here in England it just depends on how religious you are. The presents under the Christmas tree and opened on Christmas day part happens, but mainly it's just an excuse to go out and have a drink. Lot's of Christmas specials are on TV and we also have the Queens speech on TV. It's all very commercialized over here.

I do not celebrate Christmas, but I can tell you how my family celebrates...

Everyone gets one gift on Christmas Eve, and in the morning they wake up early to open presents from immediate family. The rest of the day is spent opening presents from other relatives and friends. I have seen stacks of gifts almost as high as and much wider than the Christmas tree itself. After that everyone has Christmas dinner together. A few go to Christmas specials at church in the evening.

I actually celebrated Christmas last Sunday since I visited my family in the UK early to save costs on flights. It was great with a nice dinner and an exchange of small gifts.  Cheesy

By eating lots of rich, unhealthy foods and drinking too much alcohol. Then in January hit the gym hard to lose the excess weight that has been picked up over christmas.

We've put our small (2 foot) fibre optic Christmas tree up in our living room. We've also got a few Christmas cards and have also put them up. I'm just looking forward to a week and a half off work now for the Christmas holidays.
