Almost any well indexed blog where you post a new blog entry and optimize the blog post on minimally competitive keywords can bring you new traffic because the post will likely show up at the top of Google search engine rankings but only for a short amount of time such as a few days but it can bring new traffic in the short term we've found, plus will add the the overall credibility of your blog.

That is a great way to drive a free traffic. However, if you will have a enough, you may try PPC campaigns to drive instant traffic towards your website too. Posting a classified ads on craigslist or backpage is another great way to drive traffic.

I think that the often seen "press release" tip is a joke for most web masters. If I launch a new startup company I might do a press release, but for my latest post on SEO strategy, I won't be releasing a press release.
