£3 is about $6 so approximate cost is: 50 cents per month. A small limitation is that no database is provided, but you do have PHP scripting and cPanel with stats.

This is how I did it:

Register a .co.uk domain name with HeartInternet.co.uk and select their free web hosting option to go with your new domain name. Then you will have a professional web site with no forced Ads. I think there are free templates and stuff too. They provide all the freebies in the hope that you upgrade, but if you only need a simple UK site, you only need to pay $12 every 2 years for your domain name.

The domain name has full DNS control so you can move hosting easily too.

Hm... I should say that it is really affordable price for co.uk. extension. Thanks for sharing, Andy.

Plus free hosting that is just like say Hostgator minus the database.

You could also maybe build a site for a customer and resell it to them for a big profit. If it costs you $12 for 2 years, how much would your customer pay? An easy way may be to offer to build a UK site for US businesses to expand their reach overseas. You could maybe charge $120 and pocket 90% profit?

If you want to promote UK offers, I suggest looking at buy.at This company has many big name UK businesses listed as affiliate offers.

The website that I am hosting for $0.50 a month is: www.winthemoney.co.uk I set this up and left it to mature. It seems to load fast and is promoting 2 offers. One conversion which may have come from this site is for the VWD offer which brings in $8 per month recurring income. You can check out this offer via the "affiliate" link in the footer. I can't track the conversions for this offer since it is for a UK company that is not so net savvy as the US companies but it does bring in the wonga.

Nice offer, I used to know of a site 'ovh.co.uk' that offered free .co.uk domain names, they're currently offering them for £2.49, which is still great.
