This has probably been posted on here before, but I ran across this tonight:

http://directory.sootle.com/website-worth/

Enter your url and see what your website is worth.

carfixdaily.com came in at $3,376.00

zhorkow.com came in at $20,780.00 (I always knew it was priceless Grin)

They even provide a bragging box you can put on your website.

An interesting bit of bragging rights.

It does this based entirely on backlinks.

CarFixDaily has a higher PR than the CargoShip, but the CargoShip has more backlinks; the pagestrength check reports 62 backlinks alone from dotgov and dotedu sites for the CargoShip; CarFixDaily has 4 such backlinks.

The site I found the link to this was valued at $225, but came up within the first 10 results on a Google search for 'adult autosurf'.

I have not even come close to finishing webhostingforcheap.info and Google has already given it a PR2 with only a handful of links from forums where I was asking for feedback and from two of my sites, CarFixDaily being one of them.

I'm finding that if you have ranked sites, those are going to be better links than a boatload of links buried in directories.

By the way, Wkey may have dropped to a PR3, but check its value on this tester. Tongue

Of course, this is just for fun, and bragging. Grin

That site is doing it for the backlinks.

To value a site you need to look at the revenue it generates and the rate of growth of the site. Just like stocks where the income and growth potential are the driving force behind the stock price and other factors.

If your site doesn't make any money and has no growth, it is worthless apart from the value of the domain name.

Bragging rights indeed!   MY website is worth:

Grin    Grin    Grin  $3,201.   Grin  Grin   Grin

Now that is a shocker indeed.   Hmmmm, I could use the money!   Undecided
