I know that I am not the only one here who has had difficulty with CSS, but I am happy to say that I have received a good deal of help from internet searches. The list below contains reference material and tutorials that I have personally used while working on business or personal projects. I thought I'd share them here. Most of these articles are for solving very simple problems-- but if you're like me, even a simple problem can be quite a challenge when it comes to web design. Feel free to add to the list if you have your own recommendations.

Understanding display declarations in CSS - http://www.quirksmode.org/css/display.html
Useful reference site. Good to have in your back pocket.

Centering a table with CSS - http://www.granneman.com/webdev/coding/css/centertables/
For all of us idiots that can't even get that one right!

CSS Design: Taming Lists - http://www.alistapart.com/articles/taminglists/
Nice tutorial on managing list and bullet positioning.

CSS Tutorial - Float - http://www.tizag.com/cssT/float.php
Understanding image/text wraps in CSS.

CSS-based separators - http://www.bazon.net/mishoo/articles.epl?art_id=620
For creating separators entirely in CSS (no <hr> required.)

Simple 2 column CSS layout - http://www.456bereastreet.com/lab/developing_with_web_standards/csslayout/2-col/
Beginner's guide to creating a simple CSS layout.

CSS Source Ordered 1-3 Columned Page Maker - http://www.positioniseverything.net/articles/pie-maker/pagemaker_form.php
Good for starters. I would recommend managing classes on your own instead of using a code automater, but if you need the visual representation, this is helpful.

Obviously W3Cschools is the best place to start when it comes to CSS reference, but sometimes we need things spelled out for us-- and that's where I find sites like the ones listed above particularly helpful.

Links and accurate information provide the best answer, while garbage in provides garbage out.
