Why do I get the impression that I am sometimes fodder for your posts?

Seems like I made a post about being stuck in a time warp. Tongue

I had commented to a friend, who is quite older than myself, about the different perspective of time as we age. It does seem, to me at least, that the years pass more quickly as I am older. I know that time has not changed, but my activity levels have become more redundant and repetitious (now that was redundant Grin). Where experiences were new at one point in my life, I now run into too many things that are familiar; seems like we savor the moments more when something is new and while away the time if we have been there before.

Certainly age plays a role in one's perspective of the passage of time. I commented to the same friend I mentioned, that when I first met him, when I was in high school, that the Vietnam war seemed like a long time ago to me; this was in 1981. I often inquired about the war with him; probably learned a few things I shouldn't have.

At my age now, ten years ago seems like yesterday. I remember it quite vividly and can only imagine how fresh the war was to him. Perspective is quite different when a span of time is less than a quarter of your life than when that same span of time was more than half of your life.

That would be doable if your blog accepted non-blogger posts. Tongue

Thanks for pointing that out. I didn't check the settings. Now anyone can comment.

Very nice indeed. Placing my comments there. It made me re-think about my retirement plans in the future.
