Are you planning any big changes to the way you lead your life in 2008 to get back on track?

Personally, I am aiming to build more successful web sites by adding much more valuable content, doing more testing and developing higher levels of traffic via social networking.

Also, I want to develop a better awareness of world economics and how it effects stocks and interest rates and stuff. Is there a web site that provides a dummies guide?

On the web, I want to get to know what all the fuss is about with sites such as Digg and Facebook and stay on top of these mover-shaker web developments.

Also, I want to master video marketing and web widgets.

How about you?

Well I have been reading a lot recently to work out how to improve my income in 2008.

I think that my main problem is not doing effective planning and not developing enough products.

Here is a summary of the project phases that I learned that I need to follow for Product Development:

Phase 1 - The Idea

Phase 2 - Research

Look for similar products to assess demand, pricing and competition.

Phase 3 - Planning

Describe the product in great detail.

Split the project into manageable, achievable milestones.

Think of a project name.

Phase 4 - Design and Development

Make a list of tasks on a Gantt Chart in a spreadsheet.

Treat this as a “Living Document” that evolves with the product development life cycle.

Phase 5 - Testing and Deployment

Find beta testers and reviewers.

I kind of new this anyway but since working from home, I took a less professional approach to business than if I was working in a corporation.

I learned this from the co-owner of this software sales site: http://www.incansoft.com I want to emulate this site in the way they present their products in the non-spammy way.

So in 2008 I will follow this structure and push out as many products as I can. At least 1 per month hopefully. I have some ideas already for Phase 1. Also, I will aim to improve my existing websites.

My first real product was this: http://www.adscube.com/products/lead-capture-system Today I was thinking of ways to improve the sales page, hence my reason for looking into 3D graphics for a product box image. Also, I may revise the price and offer a guarantee.

Simply getting serious and following established paths to success must work! Almost daily, I read about some relatively new marketer making good money online. The most amazing guy is Uber Affiliate who only started in February and is almost a millionaire with a goal of 2 million bucks by the end of 2008.
