This is an interesting service: http://www.websitegrader.com/

Though it provides some interesting input on how your website ranks, the one thing which humorously interested me was the readability level. It judges your site on what grade level is required to read it.

My carfixdaily site scores a 10 grade level

the aeratee portal scored a 7th grade level

The CargoShip requires a phd Shocked

What grade does your's require?

That's a nice tool!
My site received PhD. I think it's because the site uses alot of tech language (digital, render, resolution, etc). I started working on this website when I was still in highschool (or at least, should have been), so I'm pretty sure the language used is not that difficult to understand.

Rachel, part of that PhD rating may be due to your long sentences. When I took classes for writing technical reports They said I had to write to a 6th grade level and not the college level that came natural for me (a High School drop out and self taught electronics tech / engineer / teacher) but that is hard when the subject is technical in nature. I found that if I wrote short sentences the instructors would OK my work. After re-looking at your site you use some long sentences that feel well educated but not so much technical.

Thanks for taking the time, Don. After reviewing what you said, I think you make a valid point.
I don't believe I'm going to revise the text on my site, however. Not right now, anyway. If anything, I'd rather focus my time on other optimization strategies. The site was never meant as much for the text as it was for the images, anyhow. I think that most of the people that visit my site do not go there to read.

It's a great link bait idea!

Also, they are providing a possible alternative to Google PR as a measure of the value of a web page.
