Outlook is a handy tool when it comes to reducing picture sizes for either mailing or including in your profile.

How to do this is as follows:

1. Create a folder in your "My Pictures" folder under "My Documents" called Temp Photos.

2. Right click on the photo or use "Edit" > "Select all" and then do a right click on the photos after they have been selected and choose "Send via mail" or "Send to Email recipient" whichever is listed in the drop down menu.

3. Outlook, will after a few seconds (depending on the speed of your PC) open a dialogue box asking if you want to reduce the pictures in size, answer "Yes"

4. A mail will be created with all the pictures as attachments reduced in size.

5. Click on one photo in the mail, right click again on that photo and choose "select all" and "cut" now go to the folder that you created earlier "Temp Photos" and do a right click in there and choose paste.

6. All the photos will automatically transfer to that folder in reduced size.

7. Close the mail and answer "No" if it asks you do you want to save a draft or if you want to save the large amount of information to the "Clipboard" for later use.

Presto, small images reduced to approx 30K-40K

A Power Point step through is available on how to do this if you cannot follow the above steps or find them cofusing. PM me if you have trouble with the above steps.

Also, anyone who takes time to edit their profile with an image and catch-line is likely to stick around.

I thought the post should be useful to some people i.e. Outlook users.
