Anyone knows about some easy tutorials on how to give a logo a glossy look?

hi Andy and welcome aboard! Would you please make an example of logo you wish or show the one you wish to make glossy as maybe I'll be able to show you how to do this?
Maybe Rachel(she should appear later) or someone else would know good tutorials on this subject, let's wait and see.

The method of adding gloss depends a lot on the style of image.

My guess would be to have a semi-transparent layer over the logo. Then pour a non-linear gradient fill of white into that layer. Maybe add some illumination effect too.

Thanks for the link, I was surprised to see so little originality in the changes. It was more of a follow my leader approach with a gradient fill to the main image and a fading mirror image underneath. Only Apple seemed to buck the trend as they maybe felt compelled to do.

I wonder how much these companies paid on average for this artwork?

good questions, I think that they might actually not hire someone but give this job to company designer who is full time working for company(or things not done like this in other parts of the world?)

that FedEx logo revision doesnt look authentic to me as it has way too many things which are just not right.
