I have the idea to create an Internet Empire. What I mean is that I want to have a large network of sites that all work together synergistically.

For example. Sales pages would get traffic funneled to them from authority content sites. These content sites would be listed in a directory.

Every major topic in the directory would be supported by a forum, blog, content sites and sales pages.

What kinds of sites do you think should be included in an Internet Empire?

My idea is:
  • Directory
  • Informational content sites
  • Forums
  • Blogs
  • Sales pages
  • Web services site for hosting, design and development

Behind the scenes, there would need to be a control center to allow quick access to admin areas and to schedule blog/forum posting sessions. It would also provide a way to update all the scripts in the network to newer versions.

The starting point is probably the sales pages so income is generated from an early stage.

I have had ideas of grouping sites into a network. I wouldn't by any means call min an empire, but to take advantage of my own portal and start substituting links for other sites with links to my own sites within that network.

I originally thought of that idea with z54.org, but things have not quite gotten back up to speed since the hacking incident.

Being that you brought it up, I have had Phamboti.com sitting and languishing for a while. I am getting it its own hosting and will host some my domains and sites under it. The original phamboti sub-domain is still up and running, and I thought I would redirect it with a 301 permanent redirect to the dotcom site.

Being that it is my oldest domain, I thought this might provide a little strength to use it as the hosted domain with the others as addons.

What I realized is that many sites I make either sink or swim. But why not take time to integrate them into an internet empire so even if they sink or swim they are still locked into the network and still contributing dribbles of traffic to the other sites.
