Just wondered if anyone would like to try this carbon calculator.

http://actonco2.direct.gov.uk/index.html

My result was :
Your CO2 result for your home heating is : 3.01 tonnes per year.
Your CO2 result for your appliances is : 1.64 tonnes per year.
Your CO2 emissions for transport is : 0.93 tonnes per year.

My total : 5.59 tonnes per year.
 Roll Eyes
My score isn't that good is it ?

Ahh... I don't even want to take the test. I do not personally use a lot of energy, but my family does. They would bring my score way up. Tongue

That's a pretty interesting site, though.

Cool site, it's look like UK government trying to collect statistic from people and make them aware of climate changes and give a tip how they could lower emissions in a fun way, wish our government could find just a bit of time between re-elections to care a bit about ecology...
Here is results of my household:
Your CO2 result for your home heating is : 3.75 tonnes per year.
Your CO2 result for your appliances is : 0.86 tonnes per year.
Your CO2 emissions for transport is : 0.0 tonnes per year.

My total : 4.61 tonnes per year.

Not good results either but still better than average results on the site which is 10.22 tonnes per year  Shocked
They also didn't take into account that we have a garden with trees, lawn(I'm using mechanical hand mower), and we're using only organic fertilizers which got from de-composition and no chemistry to fight bugs or anything. We also have big collection of plants on balcony and in room Grin (hope it could restore at least few tones of CO2 we consuming Wink ).

Rachel, you should really take time to answer questions it would be interesting to see some results from around the world to see at least approximately average of where power is most consumed.
