I was thinking about it myself but didn't tried yet. Are you just considering this solution or have some data about using it?

I am waiting until I have identified an affiliate link that generates similar revenue to the adsense on the same page. Then I can safely split test them i.e. it may be against adsense TOS. Not clear though.

Everybody will have different results so my data is meaningless to others I think. I also don't have data yet.

In doubt I've always write to their support, they seems to be pretty helpful.

I will ask them when I am close to doing it.

btw. the page I am working on was being bombarded with spam hits. I was wondering why and thought it may have been because of the adsense. Maybe a rival advertiser was trying to force the CTR figures for the ads on my page down for some reason? Anyway, I have now blocked this spam and it looks like only normal visitors are getting the page. Maybe now higher-paying adsense ads will be served since the CTR should climb substantially.
