I am going to be launching a website, only on a local level, for businesses to post jobs and job seekers to post their resumes.

Of course, I need a good script to run that site.

I have found a few, so far:

http://www.dieselscripts.com/demo/jobs/ (around $40 USD)

and these, which seem to be the same script; (around $20)

http://www.getaphpsite.com/demos/jobsearch/jobseekers/JobSearch.php
http://www.preprojects.com/jobs.asp
http://www.scriptsagent.com/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=8

I'd like to stay around $20 or less, and even better if I could find one for free.

Does anyone know of any scripts I could use?

Hi Bob, just spot your thread.
what features your software should have? As if it's not too complicated maybe I'll be able to redo some of my projects, the price would be no more than credit link at bottom of page, of course if it's not too expensive? Grin

I am looking for something that would allow both the posting of resumes by job seekers and the posting of jobs available by employers. A search feature where prospective employers could search the resumes by keyword would be useful. I do need a feature that would allow the posting of jobs and resumes to also be posted by county/city. Of course, the ability for employers to post job listings in a directory according to field would be necessary.

I've make a search for a free scripts and seems that there are no such scripts which surprised me. Anyway things that you've told me doesn't look as something impossible. Of course it wouldn't take 5 minute but I think that can rewrite one of my scripts for your needs.

don't really understand what you mean by this Tongue

Can't promise anything right now as pretty busy, but if you don't find a script, drop me a note in a month. Till that moment I should sort out most urgent things and could probably help you out if it's still be necessary.

By a directory, I mean rather like a section, like in the newspaper, which would list available jobs by the type of job: retail, kitchen help, office, truck drivers, part-time, etc.

hey, theres alot of pretty solid job board / resume kind of scripts out there.  A custom job would be great, but if you dont like anything you've found you could always dig through a directory kind of thing like http://www.codango.com

heres the employment category - check out the subcategories and see what you think! Smiley
http://codango.com/php/dir/webapps/industry/employme/

its usually pretty easy to get a good idea of what a script is like / if its something quality just based on the screencaps alone.

good luck!
