Well, this may be completely pointless (but then, which of my posts aren't Grin), but I thought this may be useful to someone.

I was working on a logo and need to make it by specific dimensions. I have the dimesions in inches and fractions of inches, but I needed, due to the graphics program, to enter it in decimal values. I could have guessed, or tried to calculate it, but I thought it would be better if I found some kind of converter to do it.

This online converter will do various conversions of weights and measures, should anyone have such a need.

That's a handy tool if you are on a computer that is not yours and you don't have access to your own programs but if you have your own programs there is a great free small program that works for all versions of Windows and Linux under wine called Convert which does all the online one does and more. You can get Convert via my Best Web Stop Programs 3 page....

or from.....

Links and accurate information provide the best answer, while garbage in provides garbage out.

nice finds, folks, Thanks!
In the past I've used offline programs but later I found myself using Google converter which gives me functionality I'm looking for: http://www.google.com/intl/en/help/features.html#calculator

I don't know about everyone else but i find some measurements are easy and others i just don't have a clue about. I know how big a foot (12 inch) is. I know how big a centimeter is. I know how much a gallon is, but i don't have a clue how many liters to a gallon or how many furlongs to the nautical mile. Or anything like that. I bet i'm not the only one that doesn't have a clue how big a hectare is ?
 Huh
Wish i'd have taken more notice at school.

I think school wouldn't help you here if you have faulty memory like me, as I can remember about inch conversion as use it frequently(after got to Internet) but about gallons, oz and rest of things, they simply lay beyond my mind. So I don't even try to remember them.
