As you may know some companies may ask for various documents to confirm your identity and they ask to fax it them. Since I have messy phone line, using which make tricky to send fax even locally I always asked for permission to send scan via e-mail, but lately I've dealt with PayPal and ShareASale which never get back to me on this issue so I've started looking for a way to send fax them and I've found it.

This site is my problem solver: http://faxzero.com/
It let you send upto 2 faxes with 3 pages per document daily, to any fax in U.S. or Canada. There is also commercial version which give you  almost unlimited possibilities in sending faxes.

On the side note I was able to send requested documents for free using PDF formant and quickly got approval.

Hope this service would be useful to other people too.

Thanks for sharing! I'm sure it will be very useful to some people. Please note that an ad is added to the cover page and you need to pay $1.99 to remove it.

I too had problems sending faxes even though I have a fax machine. It doesn't make sense not to be able to send a scanned image or pdf instead of a fax in this day and age. In the end I used the postal service  Tongue I was sending to the UK.

I've seen that banner is added to cover page, but since both companies doesn't mind accepting such fax I think it's not a major problem... it's only could harm if you send your application and trying look reputable otherwise it should work IMHO.

This is a very clever idea those guys had.

Some companies will accept some information only sent via a fax (because in many countries, it is usable as a proof in a trial); but many of us don't use this quite outdated way of communication. Personally, I would prefer sending a fax from my desk with this site than having to go to the faz machine and wait there that the fax is sent.

There is a way to receive a fax via your email for free also. To do this just sign up for jConnect at....

I knew that Modems can send faxes if they are fax modems. I never really noticed a way to send a fax from windows. Since the Windows manual that I got with XP is only about 4 pages long, I guess they left this info out. I think the windows manual only tells you things like press F11 to get a full screen browser view.

I have done some daft things like printing out a document to my multi-purpose printer that includes a copier and fax. And then sending the printed document as a fax  Grin Ahh, put I had to sign the document, hence the need for the manual intervention.
