Is anyone else having problems with online purchases?

I just read this notice at my domain registrar:

Quote
At the present moment in time no payments via VISA cards are being processed. VISA is currently experiencing issues and is not contactable.

I have been unable to pay for an ad for my motorcycle.

I just renewed one of my domains using Visa at Godday and no problems there.

I've seen some shops which told about not accepting VISA but I've never looked at this issue as for four years using Mastercard for online payments.
I'll ask my friend at bank to see if they got any info about this, will post here if find out anything interesting.

It turns out that the problem was due to online fraud so they were automatically rejecting payments made from outside of the uk. I phoned them and sorted it out over the phone. Another workaround I used before is to ask a friend in the home country to make a purchase and then I paypal them the money plus some pocket change. Either way, cross border online payment transactions currently suck.
