Do search engines like Question and Answer sections on a website- is this beneficial for SEO?

And would a Q and A section be good to be a part of a landing page? Or how about a forum?

Yes, IMO any kind of content that a user find informative is beneficial,  because it adds more content and information to a website just don't create it with keyword stuffing in mind.
For example I just searched google for "how much webspace do i need?"  Number two position is a FAQ page. Now if I was someone looking for a host provider I would actually land on this hosts page I would find the question to my answer and also acknowledge the host who is providing me this info so it is beneficial for a landing page as well.
