A friend has a wireless internet connection which says excellent signal strength and (a little) data appears to be coming and going.

But for some reason she is unable to connect to the internet at the moment using either Firefox or IE.

Does anyone have any ideas what would be causing this and ways forward to orrect it?

Hi lovernumber2,
Quite possibly they have a firewall and have not setup permission to access the internet through the firewall or they have not setup their wireless connection security code properly. However to really give accurate help knowing the Operating System, type modem and if there is a firewall or other hardware being used is needed. For my wireless connection I have to setup my wep code or the external modem will not allow me to access the net or my network. With more information (as above mentioned) I might be able explain how to set up the wep code.
