I wonder is it just me or anyone couldn't get any helpful information from support service? Sometimes I get a feeling that companies just use some kind of poor trained AI bots which answer not my questions but questions they want or simply give same information no matter how I try to get info about what's really matters to me, why they simply couldn't tell that this info couldn't be revealed if they won't disclose it  Huh
I never called to support service, just use e-mails, so maybe support via phone works better...
So am I only one and someone got real  help from any support?

PS Hope I didn't post this question before.

Sure there are many bad service companies out there. I had my share of them too in the past.

Like I mentioned before on this site, I keep my list of trustworthy webmaster-related services here: http://internetincomeclub.com/resources/

Hopefully people will remember that staff in customer support roles are often in the firing line 8 hours or so a day and may be on a low wage. Plus, it is not usually their fault you have a problem, they are just the person paid to handle the calls. Also, many customers are likely to be a bit dumb at times, even yourself if you think about it.

In answer to the question of this thread, I have to say "yes" I do get good support from calls I make to companies I pay for services from.

With modern communications and databases of common problems, I don't see why you should get bad service unless you are dealing with a poor service provider.

Afraid I have to disagree with you on the good customer support issue here, Andy.    In the US, most CS calls go to a call center located in India or another foreign country.    The operators have poor to middling english skills and sound as if any answers they give come straight from a script.    Anything that deviates from the 'norm' they can't answer.

I usually have to ask for a supervisor, and then get the big delay while I wait for someone who may or may not be of help.

Of course, not all call centers are poor, I'd say about 20% of the ones I've had to call are good.    These are calls relating to everything from computer services to all equipment calls to purchases.

Recently I signed up for a "free trial" of an internet site; got charged almost $30 for it; called to cancel well within the 14 day trial period and requested a refund.    I was told by "Christian" (US operator) that it was all taken care of.    When I checked back later, found I still had account and was scheduled to be rebilled for it.    Was I angry?    You betcha!

I called again and got "heidi".    She took care of the whole thing for me; account closed and money refunded.    But it took about 4 calls to get the job done.

Nope, I don't like customer service, atall.
