This is a picture of the construction of a new branch of the Japanese bullet train link to the city I am staying in.

It looks old doesn't it? And it looks like a giant Roman coliseum to me. Something from Planet of the Apes maybe?

This photo is a starting point for many more interesting photos of this huge construction. There is massive concrete involved and interesting human characters that are sun-burnt from patrolling the entrances to the work areas. I took this pick on a exploratory bike ride so I hope to take some much better pictures now I know the area better.

looks impressive, and actually it reminds me some photo of building in Berlin more than coliseum or maybe aqueduct. I wonder if there are many such railways in the city and does they cause many noise?

BTW I like photograph itself, was it taken in the morning, as colors  are very warm and pleasant for eyes?

Looking for more photos Wink

Sorry I spelt the title wrong, it is ShinKanSen i.e. the bullet train. This is the famous fast train that goes city to city so there is only one line.

This actual photo was close to sunset in the evening. I took it today so it's hot off the press  Grin

I never heard about a noise problem. When you are inside these trains they are very quiet an smooth even though they travel at very high speed. Not sure what they sound like from outside.

Anyway, I want to capture the railway scenery in photos and show you people.

btw I visited Berlin and maybe you were thinking about the Brandenburg gate? I got some video of this.

on silent night I can clearly here noise from rail train which is about 5-10 kms away, that's why I wonder about noise.
