   I need a router and file server for my own home network. Could you recommend any additional useful soft for it? (I use Linux debian)

KindFelix, generally for home network you will only need iptables or ipchains to perform routing tasks and probably Samba or NFS for fileserver. If you give more info or particular questions I can help you more.
