I guess adwords would be your best bet if you are looking at driving visitor traffic to your sites. Or were you looking for something else? I never looked at selling advertizing space, it's something I could do to use up your capital. Do you want to buy links from PR6 or lower at various positions on the home page or sub pages? I guess I could do a home page PR6 1-way outbound link for $20 per month via pay pal?

Whats your goal? Are you trying to get people to purchase the software in your sig?

If your just starting out you don't _need_ to spend any money to drive traffic. One technique I am using is article submission. For $5 you can get some credits with iSnare for article submission to start building a list of publishers.

if I got such payback I would find how to use up it but talking seriously you can buy advertising in adwords or setup advertising campaing on some related site just like Andy have suggested. You may consider listing in Yahoo directory which 300 USD and some other paid directories.

adwords is a good choice in advertising your site in your sig, but for internet business for $550 is too short, but set up your goals as stated above by then you can determine the amount exactly to be set
