i am preparing for my mcse by getting q&as from certmagic.com .
i want to know how much will the IT certifications will help in hosting industry and how
good are certmagic.com prep for IT certifications.
looking for ur positive responses.

Hi,

what you posted sounds like a shortcut to success which rarely works in the real world.

What I suggest you do at no cost is to download some server software and set it up on your local machine. You will learn alot doing that. For example, you can set up virtual servers and users etc.

You can easily install Linux based hosting on a Windows PC (LAMP) and of course MS server software. Nothing beats hands-on experience. Then study some books relevant to your exams and it should be OK.

oops.. I forgot to ask what "mcse" is? Is it Microsoft Certified System eh??

For Windows Linuxy servers look out for Apache and Xitami. I found Xitami the easiest to get going. Then the other popular setups are for PHP, MySQL, PERL and now Ajax, Ruby
