What is better Windows or Linux? What about security on Windows platform?

Better in what way? If you're running the average Web site, you couldn't tell the difference between the two. Generally, you need to decide what kind of services you need (ASP/.NET or PHP, MySQL or SQL Server, etc.) and what your budget is. That will guide you toward the proper platform. As for security, it all depends upon how diligent your host is in applying patches and looking after the servers. It really isn't a matter of one being better than another -- the question is which one is better for you.
