I am currenltly using suse 10 and found that there is not alot of support for shockwave for linux.  This is not a real big deal, but the kids websites have games on them that do not work due to shockwave issues.  I seem to recall something to the effect the macromedia does not seem to think that there is enough demand, to bother developing anything to solve this problem.

If this is the case, I also came across a petition to let them know how many of us there are:

http://www.petitiononline.com/linuxswp/petition.html

If someone knows of a shockwave fix for suse 10, please, don't be shy...

hi Matt999, welcome back to WKey community! Smiley you've been missed!

Regarding Shockwave on Linux the only way to run it through http://winehq.org/ I guess.
But most games are Flash, not Shockwave so you can simply install Flash player for Linux which you can download here: http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash&P2_Platform=Linux&P3_Browser_Version=Netscape4
But maybe there would be more easier and integrated solution in SUSE.

I'll sign up petition you've provided, and there is another thing which could be interesting for you: http://lists.suse.com/archive/suse-kde/2003-Feb/0007.html

Thanks.

Dennis is right, most of the stuff is flash, it is just the occasional site, especially for the kids that does not operate which can be frustrating.
Especially, for a newbie myself, having to convince the ol lady and the kids that linux is a much better way to go. Smiley
All in all, i have this system is setup much like the windows style and operates the same with the exception of the shockwave apps.

Thanks to all who have taken the time stand up and be counted. Smiley
