My new forum TripDiscussion.com!

Hey guys.  Sorry for not posting much lately.  Ive been spending some time on starting a forum of my own.  Ive always enoyed running forums in the past and when I started this one I sat back and asked myself, "What is a unique topic for a forum? There is already alot of webmaster forums and all. What stands out?"  and then it hit me like a ton of bricks! Ok not literally lol.  But vacations and trips.  I cant think of anyone who doesnt love to talk about all the fun and excitement they have had on their vacations and journeys.  So I started http://TripDiscussion.com  .  Feel free to check it out and tell me what ya think.  Its a little low on users at the moment but watching it grow is very exciting.  I also came up with the idea of having an active member program on my forum as well.  Sooooo active members on TripDiscussion.com will be eligible to recieve a $20 gift certificate to amazon.com oh yaaaa !  Ill be interested to hear what you guys have to say about my new site.  Hopefully it will work out well!

I don't think it's a unique idea but should be popular as long as you show enough enthusiasm for it in your posts.

You're right about webmaster forums, they are everywhere. I found that there was only room for one more

Yeah pictures are important for a holiday site. I would embed many of your posts with small photos from your travels if you can.

I would try to quickly add something to all the empty categories too. Maybe you should narrow down your focus on places until you get visitors posting? Then the forum can get steered in the direction that your visitors are most interested in.

I think you need a better description of what the site is about on the front page.
Just a couple of sentances saying what the site is about.
I assume it for US people only?
A logo with pictures of attractions, people on holidays, beaches etc would brighten to top of the forum and make it a little more holidayeee
