I come from Castleford (they are in orange) and they won against Warrington today.

The game was live on Sky TV.

Great!

Some good footage for your sports forums.

Nice close ups and clear images.

You could use the images as backdrop material for banners or your site maybe?

The zoom came in handy. I could zoom all the way across the ground and read the prises on the wall inside the hotdog van.

some great action shots I would say! can't give much advice about doing reportage from sports events since I never was on stadium with camera(I'm not hughe spot fan).
But I would like to see comments for each photo telling what's actually is going on, this way it would look as a kind of reportage from the game(maybe it's stupid and it's obvious from the shots what is going on..., keep in mind that I don't know rugby rules and never seen any rugby game).
And my favourite shot is http://www.12noon.net/pics/rlfc4.JPG really good job! if you can only exclude those persons from the left side and give to a player some space to run to... or not cut legs of other player in the left than this picture would be ideal and probably even sold to some local magazine or newspaper interested in sport events.

keep on good job! and thanks for sharing it all with us! Smiley

With over 11,000 people in the rugby ground i tried again. I had an almost 7 foot tall woman stood in front of me, so couldn't get as many good shots this time. Anyway i'll just post these to show the new Cas shirt (black & amber). Castleford were playing Leeds and won 31 - 30.

McGoldrick intercepts a pass that was supposed to go from one Leeds player to the other.

Danny Brough puts the ball into the scrum to re-start the game.

Two Castleford cheerleaders talk about how the game is going.

BTW i've just bought Photoshop Elements 4 to see if i can alter my photos and make them look better than what they look like. I've not got used to it yet though.

Just found out that Castleford have signed Shaun Timmins for the next two years from the St George-Illawarra Dragons club in OZ.

Those are some really clear pictures, and especially with being able to zoom that far. I don't see how much more you'd like to edit them with Photoshop, I don't see how many of them need editing. Just my opinion

Well, i want to cut players out so that i can use them to make avatars and sigs and things like that. Photoshop Elements was used to re-size some of the photos though and to cut some parts out.

BTW the zoom on the camera is fantastic. To be able to zoom all the way across a rugby field and get in as close without a tripod or anything to rest the camera on is just great. If your looking for a big zoom camera that wont cost you the earth, then the Kodak P850 is worth looking at.
