Unethical question: how much do you spend on mobile phone?

Reading Andy's thread about new phone in Japan, I've start wondering how much actually mobile services cost in various countries?
if it's not a secret fill free to share some of your bills here

For beginning here is my info.
I've spend about 5-10 USD per month on mobile phone lately, previously it cost upto 30-40 USD but now I've got good prepaid where I can talk to two persons for 1 cent per minute which let me dramaticly save on costs. 5-10 USD actually spend by family of 3 people, I've charge my phone and send credits to my mom's and girlfriend's cells.

Minute inside country on my prepaid card cost 30 cents and SMS 7 cents. So anyone can beat this?

  My husband an I each have a cell phone and we have been paying $95.00 per month for the past 2 years. We are on a contract that ends in August and BOY will there be some changes made!!!!

He uses his cell phone in his work so we may stay with the same account for him, but I am also going to a prepaid service and expect to save a lot!

It's easy to get wrapped up in a contract and no matter what advances come along with the other companies and industry in that time, you cannot take advantage of because you are stuck in a contract with a huge penalty for ending before the end date.

that's why I like prepaid, you still have freedom of choice and on my prepaid I've got loyality program (company return some percetage from money I've spend(the longer you stay with them the more percentage you got upto 15% from what I remember) and I also get 2 cetns for each minute of incoming call)

i dont tend to spend much on my mobile as most of my friends are online or i use the home phone
im on pre pay too with vodafone but im not sure of my call rates sorry
i most likely spend £20-30 a year but thats just so they dont cancel my acount after 6 months of no money being put on it
but i did spend about ? £150 a year when i was working that was pre pay too around 2 years ago

thats good that you can get money for using your phone and people calling you im supprised more companys dont do that

I have two phones on my service. Total for the two is about $110 per month. That includes taxes, fees and services. We have more than just phone service. I have Nextel, which offers two way radio to other Nextel members. The basic service allows this two way radio to people in your calling area. My son lives in another calling area, so I pay an extra fee per month per phone for this. That adds $20 per month to the normal fee. The base rate for my services is $39.99 for 300 outbound minutes and free incoming, and my son's is $29.99 for 200 minutes. We both have internet and text/sms/mms services.

I guess I spent around 7 Euro per months on my mobile.But it depends.I also have prepaid card because contract wouldn't be profitably for me.

In the UK I had a contract for many years with TelecomPlus an MLM company I worked with, their rate was £3.99 per month and calls were around 5p a minute. So the fixed fee was around $8 per month in US dollar prices.

In Japan I am paying much more but don't have the language skills to get the best deal
