Do you trust to use the first sheet of the roll?

Maybe you tear it off and chuck it away? But with which hand?

If it is neatly folded, is it better or did the cleaner use a dirty hand to fold the sheet?

Do you trust the "santised notice"?

Or do you fold x sheets into a pad before you feel safe? How many sheets?

Is the environment a concern/balance as you make these crucial decisions?

Do you leave the last sheet in good condition and perfectly clean for the next person?

If the roll runs out, do you change it for a new one off the shelf or leave it for the next person to do? Then, do you peel away the new sheet seal to make the new roll immediately useable? If it tears to one side do you sort this out etc.

Or, does none of this make any sense  Huh  Grin

Hahaha... I think an obsessive compulsive wrote up this questionnaire. Grin

1. Do you trust to use the first sheet of the roll?
I use the first few sheets to cover the seat. Tongue

2. Maybe you tear it off and chuck it away? But with which hand?
No idea...

3. If it is neatly folded, is it better or did the cleaner use a dirty hand to fold the sheet?
Dirty until proven otherwise. Tongue

4. Do you trust the "sanitised notice"?
Nope!

5. Or do you fold x sheets into a pad before you feel safe? How many sheets?
No idea about that one either...

6. Is the environment a concern/balance as you make these crucial decisions?
Of course!

7. Do you leave the last sheet in good condition and perfectly clean for the next person?
I always try to leave the bathroom in better condition than it was before I came... I'm just a nice person like that.

8. If the roll runs out, do you change it for a new one off the shelf or leave it for the next person to do?
Yes, that too... Almost every time I go into the bathroom I have to put on a new roll.

9. Then, do you peel away the new sheet seal to make the new roll immediately useable?
Hey, might as well go all the way!

10. If it tears to one side do you sort this out etc.,?
Always, I fix everything when I go to the bathroom.  Wink

It was an idea for a bit of fun. I'm sure it's a subject of great interest but left undiscussed with many people confused and feeling awkward asking for advice. I'm not sure what government guidelines are available.

Anyway, I guess I should come clean...

1. Do you trust to use the first sheet of the roll?
No way!

2. Maybe you tear it off and chuck it away? But with which hand?
Right

3. If it is neatly folded, is it better or did the cleaner use a dirty hand to fold the sheet?
Dirty until proven otherwise. - Me too

4. Do you trust the "sanitised notice"?
Nope! - same here

5. Or do you fold x sheets into a pad before you feel safe? How many sheets?
~2 I guess

6. Is the environment a concern/balance as you make these crucial decisions?
I try to get the most out of each operation to minimize the environmental impact  Grin

7. Do you leave the last sheet in good condition and perfectly clean for the next person?
Quote

Me too! I even use the loo brush if required.

8. If the roll runs out, do you change it for a new one off the shelf or leave it for the next person to do?
Quote
Yes, that too... Almost every time I go into the bathroom I have to put on a new roll.
So it's not just me that changes the rolls  Shocked

9. Then, do you peel away the new sheet seal to make the new roll immediately useable?
Quote

I agree. TIP: there is usually 2 seals to break through and you can use these rough sheets to polish the seat ready for the next customer  Cool

10. If it tears to one side do you sort this out etc.,?
Certainly, and even get the sheets back into tear-off strip alignment where the 2-ply has split and one got out of sync by say one revolution  Grin

I've heard about this, that people in some countries use water instead, and even saw some beautifully made jugs which are made to keep water for this purpose, but I was never sure which countries are use this technique Wink Now I know that India is one of them Smiley

Ultimately, you have to wipe AND dry yourself.

1.)  Do you trust to use the first sheet of the roll?
I actually never use the first round of the roll.

2.) Maybe you tear it off and chuck it away? But with which hand?
I do toss it out, and the opposite hand.

3.) If it is neatly folded, is it better or did the cleaner use a dirty hand to fold the sheet?
I never use the folded sheets, not even with facial tissue.

4.) Do you trust the "santised notice"?
No, not at all

5.) Or do you fold x sheets into a pad before you feel safe? How many sheets?
Can't say as I ever paid attention

6.) Is the environment a concern/balance as you make these crucial decisions?
The environment makes all the difference.

7.) Do you leave the last sheet in good condition and perfectly clean for the next person?
Always, I really hate entering and finding someone has touched the sheet that should be mind. It is kind of gross.

8.) If the roll runs out, do you change it for a new one off the shelf or leave it for the next person to do? Then, do you peel away the new sheet seal to make the new roll immediately useable? If it tears to one side do you sort this out etc.
If it is so close that I am the last to use it, then I always replace it. Mostly because I won't use the very end of the roll either. I will start the new roll and use that and toss the old.

9.)Or, does none of this make any sense
Make perfect sense.

It seems like this is an important issue that is thankfully taken most seriously by the majority of people.  Kiss

Well, now that I'm sorta retired, I don't worry about the toilet paper issue.    I just wait until I get home.

Of course I can't always wait, so do run into the problems you mentioned.    However, I'm not as much of a worrier about it as some of you seem to be.

Just call me an optimist!

I thought it was pretty comical. I try not to use Public Restrooms as much as possible, mostly because of the sanitation issues they usually have. Especially in Wal-Mart. They have the worst restrooms in the country. I don't care what town or city you are in Every Single Wal-Mart has nasty bathrooms.

I think in Germany you can be happy if could find toilet paper at public toilets at all.
Okay lately the situation became better but a lot of people steal the toilet paper even from there work.

In Belarus it's hard to find public toilet.
One day I went with my roommate to a park and and we found around maybe 10 toilets all toilets were closed and after sometime we found one but smell allready was awful and I said my roommate better not to go there and she said "oh but I really need to go urgently.!"
She went there and then she opened door watched inside , immaditally slammed the door and run away as fast as possible and after few minutes she said"oh my god I even regret that I just watched inside there" Grin
