I just had a great idea to improve interaction online.

The Poster's Passport.

The idea is to accumulate credibility in forums, ebay or any other interactive site that is transferable to other sites without needing to register to post and become a newbie etc.

Your profile would include data about what you like to post e.g. general discussion, you like to post a signature, you like to post an affiliate link etc. Also, you would have a community vote reflecting your value to any online community e.g. you regularly post useful comments, you only ever post ads, you post a mixture of useful related commentry plus links to affiliate programs or you only post one liners etc.

Then when you click to join a new site you can be instantly accepted and auto-assigned privaleges.

What do people think about this idea?

from one side it's interesting idea but on other hand a lot of people should show interest in using it and implementing support into various forums versions for it...
From what I know MS tried something similar but their idea didn't go further than MS services...
Also some people look for anonymity on the web not publicity...

I still think it should work even if you opt for an anonimous personality.

I like the idea, and have not heard of anything else like it recently.
I could see some problems (Mainly in the form of abuse, seeing as people will always take advantage of this when and if they can), but I also think it could be a great way to promote and encourage quality posting... even globally speaking.
