[Solved] Problems with burning DVD-RW with Plextor PX-716a

After I've replaced my NEC DVD-RW ND-3520 to new DVD-RW drive Plextor PX-716a I've run into the problem. CD-RW, CD-R, DVD-R and DVD+RW disks burned without any problems, but DVD-RW disks are burned only first time when disk are new, but once disk is burned one time there is no way to burn it second time... K3B prompt to format DVD-RW but even after format nothing changes.

You just need to obtain cdrecordPro edition which is free for personal use: http://cdrecord.berlios.de/old/private/cdrecord.html

After you install it to your system issuing

Code:

cdrecord blank=all dev=/dev/dvd

is solving my problem.

Another way of blanking DVD-RW disks seems to work for me as well:

it's works very fast comparing to
