Today there is a Blue Whale swimming up the River Thames in central London  Shocked

OH MY! Grin  I wonder if somebody had it for a pet in their tub and it got too big so they released it into the Thames?? Cheesy

Latest -

It's a bottle-nosed whale (~20 feet long) and just reached the Albert Bridge. 1st time since records began in 1913

Unfortunately there is concern over the whale since it is lost and normally needs deep water. Also, it's heading inland so needs to turn back. Teams are ready in case it beaches.

I hope this all works out! Maybe they could guide him back to safety with sound underwater mating call or something

We occasionally get beached whales on the Oregon coast and it's so sad to see such a huge beautiful creature like that. Cry

They said the mother is in the sea many miles away, I guess it would try and call but the narrow river would absorb the sounds I guess  Huh
