check this out: http://www.alexa.com/data/details/traffic_details?q=&url=forum.weblamp.net
Page Views per user: 474% increase
Reach per million users:  66% increase
and Traffic Rank was increased on 160,290

Not sure if Alexa change it's ranking mechanism, or some of our members start to use Alexa bar or http://www.quirk.co.za/searchstatus which let us gain such status, but I'm happy that it happens Smiley BTW our traffic constantly raise from what I know it didn't grow so much as Alexa shows.

Maybe someone also spot something similar happening with their sites?

The traffic rank for http://www.tamurilart.com/ is 1,339,547
Page Views per user: 59% decrease (This is probably due to the fact that my site has not been updated recently...)
Reach per million users: 67% increase
Traffic rank was increased by 55,574

Interesting. I don't usually pay attention to Alexa...

I didn't check it as well, before got http://www.quirk.co.za/searchstatus extension for FireFox which doesn't disturb me as Alexa toolbar on IE.

from what I know clicking doesn't affect Alexa ranking, but in the past I've read that there is a way to cheat Alexa by installing their bar and checking your site from various IPs, don't remember what was the algo Tongue
Anyway I don't have time to do that myself so if anyone would like to cheat for us, you're welcome Grin
But seriously talking if you wish to improve ranking of our site and sites you're frequently visiting, simply install Alexa bar and keep on visiting us Wink
As I've said before I don't use Alexa bar myself but very handy tool(much better than any toolbar I've used in my life) here it's http://www.quirk.co.za/searchstatus

Alexa is nothing to go by really unless you have something like 0 - 25,000 ranking.

Most people can receive a ranking of under 100,000 no matter if your site receives visitors or not.

All you have to do is install their toolbar on your site and then visit your site. It does improve your ranking doing this. I know it is cheating, but some people do this.

I am not one of them as I have better things to do with my time like trying to get proper visitors to my site.
