from my not very deep knowledge of football I tend to agree that Spain would have best chances in this group Smiley

Has anyone watched any of the football (World Cup) games so far ?

Who do you think will win the World cup ?
Who will also make it to the world cup final ?
Who will be the top goal scorer over all ?

England have managed to win 1-0 in the first game and Germany have also won, but in the games so far Argentina look like the strongest team. Can't wait for the rest of the games now.

BTW Denis, the Ukraine play Spain on Wednesday 14th June and then play Saudi Arabia on Monday 19th June with the last match in the group against Tunisia on Friday 23rd June 2006. I'll let you know the results from each game. That's if you don't see the results on TV yourself. Oh and keep an eye out for Andriy Shevchenko. He will be one of the star players at this years world cup.

I'll have a guess at a England v Brazil final.
 Smiley
And with the way Germany are scoring it might be Miroslav Klose as the top scorer. He's got two already. Germany don't look that good in defence though, so i don't think they will make the final.

Who do you think will win the World cup ? - England
Who will also make it to the world cup final ? - Brazil
Who will be the top goal scorer over all ? - Miroslav Klose

10 men Ukraine go down 4-0 to Spain.
 Sad
Vashchuk was sent off just after half time and the Ukraine didn't stand a chance against a fantastic Spanish team. I think the Ukraine can still make a come back though and now need to beat the Tunisia and Saudi Arabia to go through to the next round.

Good Luck to the UKrainians  Grin

Drunken england fans still enthusiastic though...

STUTTGART (Reuters) - German police detained 122 England supporters in Stuttgart overnight for mostly drunken and aggressive behaviour as fans gathered for Sunday's second-round World Cup match with Ecuador.

"By midnight there were 200 (fans) singing insulting and racist songs," Stephen Thomas, the head of a British police team working in Germany, told a news conference.

"An hour later there was a hard core of 100, who were by now very drunk and refused to move.

"Some bottles and chairs were thrown and eventually the situation came to a stand-off. "

England....!!!
