Hello... again!  There's so many new members since I was last here...over a year ago, maybe even 2 years!  Wow, crazy how time flies when things are changin.  Most of you have no clue who I am.  Hopefully at least Dennis remembers me!  LOL  My name is Jamie Walker [used to be Jamie Dodd] and I was a member a VERY long time ago.  I hope you don't mind Dennis that I created a new username for myself.  I haven't been using the "jmedodd" username for a very long time.  Anyhow, for those who don't know me, here is a little about myself:

I am a single parent [divorced] with 2 children, a boy, Lucas, 3 yrs old, and a girl, Taylor, 3 months old.  I am in the US Air Force stationed in Kaiserslautern, Germany and just recently found out that I am moving in April back to the good ol' USofA, to Oklahoma.  I also own a web hosting and web design business that I manage in my free time.  I mostly do a lot of site re-design.  Sadly, over the past year I've had some unfortunate experiences which resulted in the total loss of my computer and local files so that is the main reason that I have not been around in quite a while.  I was needing a site review done and by chance landed back here on this site!  I would very much like to be welcomed back into this community.

So, for fun, here is a little thing I got a while back from a friend.  It's one of those chain-forwards where they ask a bunch of questions and you're supposed to answer them so people can get to know you a little better.  Enjoy!  LOL

1. If you could build a house anywhere, where would it be?
Stigler Oklahoma…yeah, that’s right, Stigler…say something…I dare you! Smiley

2 What is your favorite article of clothing?
Low rise (NOT ultra-low rise) wide leg faded blue jeans

3. If you could have chosen your name, what would it have been?
Jamie-liscious Smiley

4. The last CD that you bought:
Do I have the money to be out buying CDs? I don’t think so. Behold the magic of the Internet!

5. Where is your favorite place to be?
Sitting at my computer at 4 am drinking coffee

6. Where is your least favorite place to be?
At work when I know I’ve really jacked something up!

7. What time do you wake up in the morning?
Insomniacs never wake up the morning, they just hover between awake and napping

8. What’s your favorite kitchen appliance?
My coffee maker (did I even need to answer that question)

9. What makes you really angry?
People who turn their left blinker on, then pause, then turn right!

10. If you could play an instrument, what would it be?
The drums…how cool are drummers!

11. Favorite color(s):
Purple…is there any other color?

12. Favorite children’s book:
Any book that gets Luke’s attention for like 10 seconds

13. What’s your favorite season?
Late spring when it’s warm outside but a nice breeze blows

14. If you could have one super power, what would it be?
To be invisible…Oh to be a fly on the wall at Microsoft’s secret meetings… Smiley

15. Tattoo(s):
I thought about it, I’m still thinking about…and by the time I decide, I’ll be too old and they would have to use a jackhammer to tattoo anything into my wrinkly, shriveled skin

16. Can you juggle?
I can barely walk half the time…way too much of a klutz for juggling!

17. The one person from the past you wish you could go back and talk to:
My sister, Maria, to find out what exactly she meant by “you’ll understand when you older”…because I’m older and I still don’t understand!

18. What is your favorite day?
Pay Day! YES - the most common answer you’re going to find

19. What is in the trunk of your car?
Oh man, let’s see… spare tire, jack, emergency blanket, change of clothes for Lucas, baby stroller, two boxes of ramen noodles (don’t
ask) and miscellaneous bottles of motor oil, fuel injector cleaner, etc.

20. Sushi or Hamburger?
Are you kidding? Gimme that hamburger!

21. From the people you will email this to, who is the most likely to respond first?
My mom or my sister Laura…and then Laura will forward it to everyone in Oklahoma…twice.

22. Who is least likely to respond?
My Dad… yeah, that’s right, I called you out…now maybe you’ll email me more often! Smiley

23. Who did you receive this from?
My friend, Cyndie Anderson

24. What is your favorite cartoon character?
Sponge Bob!

25. What is your favorite meal?
Cold Pizza

26. What is your favorite word?
nigh-night (that’s Luke’s word for “I’m going to sleep now”) Smiley

27. What is your least favorite word?
STOP-IT (Luke’s favorite word for just about any time he’s doing something and you tell him to stop, or you’re not paying enough attention to him, or when he just wants to be a little butthead)

28. What turns you on Creatively, Spiritually, and Emotionally?
Creatively - the prospect of a new web design…gets my creative juices flowing
Spiritually - honestly, not much spirituality going on here ATM
Emotionally - Oprah…she gets the emotions turned on within minutes of any show

29. What turns you off?
Negativity of any form. I’m not “Miss Look on the Bright Side” but my emotions are easily swayed by others so any negativity is a huge turn off for me.

30. What is your favorite curse word?
“RIGHT NOW!” OK, I know that may not seem like a curse word to you but if I am to the point of telling Lucas “RIGHT NOW”, then it’s to the point of cursing and then I’ve hit my limit.

31. What sound or noise do you love?
Lucas genuinely laughing

32. What sound or noise do you hate?
My alarm clock…oh god what an evil, evil invention!

33. What profession, other than your own, would you like to attempt?
NONE - my goals are definite and clear. I want a chance to attempt my professional goals before even considering another

34. What profession would you not like to do?
I will NEVER work in food service again. PERIOD!

35. If heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the pearly gates?
Anything except “OOOOOOOH….you’ve been a bad, bad girl!”

Hi Jamie,

I loved your post.

I have a cousin stationed in Germany but not sure what town.

I can't really say welcome to the forum because I have been away from most forums myself for the last year. I guess it's time for me to start posting again as we get ready for next year.

But I can say, judging from your above post, that any forum would be lucky to have you as a member. I'm sure Danny already knows that.

I look forward to reading more over your post.

I know.  I'm very sorry for that.  With the loss of my computer and the divorce, a LOT has changed, especially my contact information.  I'll update my profile here on the board so hopefully that won't happen again.

I see that my status has been updated.  THANK YOU.  I definitely plan to be around more often.

Absolutely!  I'm still in a little bit of a state of shock at how well the forum has grown since my last visit [never doubted it would grow but it's such a change from before] but I'm sure once I get back into the swing of things, I'll be able to have a better perspective of how things are run around here now.  At first glance though, I think you've done an awesome job!

Thank you Janeth, that's very sweet of you.  From what I gather, you've been away for a while and have been missed as well.  I'm sure it's very good to have you back also!

Denis - I just read your answers to the questions and could not stop laughing...same ol' Denis!  I must say, your English has gotten quite good over the past few years!  I'm very impressed!  [A little background for those of you who did not know me before: when I first met Denis, he was learning English.  He knew a LOT of English but still did not understand some of the more "American" phrases and we would chat for hours and we kept having to use the online dictionary to figure out what we were really trying to say.  LOL]

Hi Jamie,

I'm Andy (from UK) and I seem to spend a heck of a lot of time here. Ever since I found this site, I didn't feel the need to look for any other discussion forums.

However, it sometimes goes a little too quiet so any extra input is always welcome.

Welcome back! p.s. I don't remember you  Huh

Andy wouldn't you wish to answer to this list of questions whily you here or you don't have time for this? I'd be curious to know answers you give to some of them Smiley

YES, your memory is working perfectly.  I'm still in Germany.  We leave in April to go back the US.  Times sure have changed haven't they?

I was thinking today about how much the Internet has changed my life over the years.  Online communities are like life in that you can get caught up in things and forget people and places and then one day meet up with them out of the blue.  The problem with the Net though is that it's all archived so you'll always remember all the dumb stuff you said like a million years ago and so will anyone else who searches hard enough, lol.

Oh, no, Denis, nothing to remove.  Besides, the Way Back Machine makes that option obselete now-a-days anyhow.  I forget that my humour gets lost in translation sometimes.
