You can always have fake plants. They're not as beautiful as a real garden thou.

Very interesting garden you have there, Sue!

I tried to get my family to consider this at one point. No one seems to want to put the energy into taking care of our plants (I think it's a bad combination of lack of time, lack of gardening skills, and lack of care), so I recommended that we put in fake ones instead. I think you can spray them down with hairspray to keep them fresher looking for longer periods of time, but I know they don't have nearly as nice a look as real garden plants.

You still have to deal with weeds though, even with fake plants... Unless they are all potted in styrofoam or something.

One of these days I'm going to have a nice garden of my own... Because I'll make sure I have enough time and resources to take care of it. It's hard to take care of a garden and juggle school and work at the same time.

Sue, it seems you have nice garden, especially my girl and me are jaleous about your pavement Wink
After our family have moved from other city to Kerch we don't have garden and I've missed it a bit... I even try to grow some vegitables and flowers but it was hard to take care of it so I've stop my gardening experience after some time...
But I'm lucky because my girl have a garden where I can help her Smiley
Here some pictures of it:
Garden in September - this one was taken yesterday
Red Rose - another photo of other rose bush.
others pictures were made around month ago or so.

Rachel, and others who don't have time for caring about garden but wish to have some green space around you, why don't you plant something form these plants:
rose bush, cactuses, ipomea, clematis, sunflowers, biola and many others. All these flowers was only once watered when was seeded, and maybe while they are small, but after this all of them are growing themselves(we don't have a lot of rains here, this summer there was maybe 7 rains and 2 or 3 are heave ones)

Rosie, I know you had a gaden, why don't you share some photos made there? Maybe you can also recommend some plants which could grow in US climate without attention from the owner

Thanks for the recommendation! Now if I could just get my family to plant them. Tongue I don't have enough time or I'd do it myself (Believe me)...
